This is a very interesting bowl. The piece of Australian Gimlet Burl was turned leaving the entire underside natural and undisturbed. The upper surface is flat with a raised bead adjacent to the turned bowl. The figure of the burl grain is striking with naturally occurring fissures throughout. The piece was finished with a hand-rubbed oil finish and polished to a high gloss on the upper surfaces. The bowl rests at an angle on the surfaces of the underside. 3 3/4" high x 10 1/2" diameter.
