This ovoid-shaped hollowform is made of Hickory. The decorative "basket illusion" band has been incised into the surface, pyro-burned to highlight the outline of the small segments, and colored with color fast dyes. It has been finished with a hand-rubbed oil finish and polished to a medium gloss. This vessel won 1st place in the recent Georgia National Fair woodturning competition. 6 1/2" high x 10" diameter.
